Is there information in the new FM about when gorillas collide?

No. That part of the book remains unchanged, word for word.

In that regard, perhaps most important is that the following words remain exactly as in the first manual: "In the old days, gorillas used to be too enamored of their high margins and cushy market positions to field a really aggressive response, and new classes of competitors could get in and eventually displace them. But this latest generation of gorillas, having learned from the past, does not share this weakness, and it is becoming increasingly challenging for new technologies to break through."
