..Um, minor temporary cash flow probbie?

That is curious.

However, if the allegations in the suit are true, the obvious question is how many others were they able to con.

...Belief is a key element of this scam.

In Kelowna, I could name over 25 victims, more in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and smaller towns, Leithbridge and more. I have encouraged many to go to the RCMP. None have, for in some strange way, even after losing houses and retirement funds, farms and businesses, they still believe. The RCMP took out some press this year to locate victims. None came forward.

The scam seems to have several connnecting points in western Canada. [Convicted scam artists' names omitted] (from Colorado and Alberta) have been tackled - too little and too late - by the SEC. A lady in Seattle and another in West Vancouver continue to play as do
those in Kelowna, Calgary and Edmonton.

I feel somewhat frustrated in that few heed my cautions and none go to the police. The money continues to roll out - in one case a
reported $38 Million dollars from this area alone.

It seems the police here can do little due to the absence of complainants. They suspect these people are too ashamed to admit they
were taken. From my experience, after trumpeting their soon-to-be-wealth they simply hide, but they also - even against everything - believe.

Recently I was approached by one individual. This elevates the scam as it includes a strong religious pitch. You can not only make money, you can help mankind and yourself as well. Even more dangerous, in my opinion - and close enough to Christianity to bring in many converts! Yes, it is laced with New Age theories and driven by a very charismatic type (he came over for an evening - stories of
Hollywood and the Virgin Mary, St. Jerome and many well known types). All this tied into a new community for those fortunate enough to
follow - [scam artist program omitted]. This fellow is dangerous for he not only has the roll programs in hand, but could be another Jones
or Koresh.

Correlation does not imply causality, however the coincidences keep piling up don't they?
