Milehigh, not directed at you. Some folks need to step back from RMBS and take a look at the big picture. Intel being up today is not a sinister sign. Intel had a strong upgrade from Barings, it was technically oversold short term, Kumar attempted to debunk Niles claim that Intel selling 29M units was a bad thing and they launched new products. RMBS is not seen as critical to Intel. Intel is seen as critical to RMBS. Intel is overpriced but not by an order of magnitude.

As regards why no one including MS has heard of a plan. Perhaps, there isn't one quite yet. This appears to be a somewhat devious problem otherwise it would have been found earlier. It may take a little while for a plan to be developed.

As I said trading in front of the news is pure gambling, but unlike Don who apparently routinely assumes extreme events, my experience has been events rarely trend that way - that is in well managed companies. That said we have our first "defection", IBM. If Intel/RMBS take too long and we get more - look out below. Rich
