I just finished the book I was reading. Emily will be so happy with me in the morning. The book about the Civil War is called: When will this Cruel War Be Over? The Civil War Diary of Emma Simpson. By: Barry Denenberg. A while back on DAR, Thomas A. Simpson had ask for suggestions for books for his boys to read. I considered sending him info on this Civil War book for his daughters. Being that the last name used in the story is Simpson. I realize that is a common name...but just thought it would be neat. I also thought the book I had just read might be interesting to his family based on The Oregon Trail's beginnings in the Midwest. I love Civil War history. I had to have the entire video collect of the PBS Civil War series.
