Re: Resignation of pres & CEO search Bob, I'm not privy to any info even close to inside the company so I don't know what the reasons for the resignation might be. My instincts tell me that it is a very positive development, however. I don't have a clue why the CEO search has taken so long. One possible explanation is that we have been or are close to a major alliance or buy out and the choice of a CEO would be strongly influenced by that event. With the apparent entry of IDC back into purchasing shares this week, it would seem that a takeover is not imminent. Perhaps the company wants to encourage an increase in share value and settle with Ericsson before such an event. The pieces seem to be falling into place for an increasingly successful corporation and therefore investment: 1. new licensing agreement with JPR last week 2. revalidation of key patent claims 3. company says it is "extremely involved in new standards process" - unusually strong words for a group noted for gross understatement. 4. stock buyback in progress. 5. TDMA/GSM will be around and growing for many years - and we have the key patents. 20 manufacturers have signed (including Nokia, the biggest) - 40 yet to sign. Immense earnings stream potential, especially with patent revalidation and after Ericsson case is settled. I am very optimistic about IDC as an investment. At these prices, it is extraordinarily sound from a risk-reward ratio basis, in my judgement. Sure appreciate your input. Visit over on the Raging Bull, if you are interested.
