Interesting post, Richard Habib; but I couldn't find a link to it quickly enough to include it here. I'm sorry, but I burst out laughing at this silly statement from Rambus: "We, with our partners, designed a very robust* system". What a joke! He goes on to add: "the majority of configurations have no issues."* He neglected to add "known" and "yet." Once those QC guys smell blood, they really haul out the nasty tests... In particular, this news is not good: "Some PC manufacturers, based on conversations with Intel today, said they are more hopeful* of a resolution by the end of October.*" Hope springs eternal in the human breast. (We all have youthful breasts, don't we? My version doesn't scan as well, but I hate to exclude the unyouthful from hope.) -- Carl
