You Doug, are making a mistake, by deleating the part about pork bellies. If one goes back to the 70's(many also quote far earlier dates) and look at the relationship
between pork bellies and gold, it is great. In pork bellies one finds far more than simply the cost of the pig as all bellies are preserved via one form of cure(to include
freezing) or another there by representing (somewhat)a store of value. It requires the addition of feed & labor to turn spring weener piglets into fully fed-out swine.
Additional labor and time is also added to in the "kill & butcher" operations.

Richard, is there a thread on SI called "Pork Bellies Monitor" ?

My remembrance of names is poor, and I recall that there are
two threaders posting on this and the Dutch thread that have
web sites with a gold focus. I believe a Ron Struthers(?) has
a pay per view, and that a Bob(?) Johnson(?) has a free for all
super web site for precious metals. ok, now is there on either
of these sites, or another, that graphs gold verse the pigs ?

Important, please tell Bill Murphy the Cafe needs the article:

<<... relationship between pork bellies and gold, it is great.>>

Currently we gold bugs are having the operation of

<<In pork bellies ... more than "kill & butcher" operations.>>

towards the gold shorts.
