I suppose over time the stench will dissipate, but how can the press legitimately pursue anything in this cycle after ignoring the crimes and misdeeds perpetrated by Bubba?

to: jlallen from: truedog John, there are several discrepancies in that report about Ben Barnes and the Bush family. I know about this because the speaker of the house, Gus Mutscher, was from my home town of 12,000 people and I knew him personally and was pretty well informed of the goings on in Austin. In the mid 60s, I also knew the President and Mrs. Bush personally, but I am sure they have totally forgotten about me by now. The Bush's and Ben Barnes knew each other through political circles, but he was hardly a friend of the family. He was a democrat and a confessed crook. Even if any of that were true, Barnes,himself, said that no one asked him to put in a word for GW. I find it very odd that a democrat would hurry to the aid of the son of an adversary.^ ^ ^TD
