Pakistani Shia leader killed A senior leader of a prominent Shia Muslim party in Pakistan has been shot dead along with his daughter and an armed bodyguard. Police say Khursheed Anwar, general secretary of Tehrik-e-Jafria, was gunned down by two armed men in the city of Dera Ismail Khan, west of Lahore.
