iMagicTV Software Enables Telcos to Increase Revenue By Delivering
Superior TV Service to Consumers

Announces Immediate Availability of DTV Manager 2.0

SAINT JOHN, NEW BRUNSWICK, CANADA, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- iMagicTV today announced immediate
availability of DTV Manager 2.0, its second-generation digital television software for telcos. The software enables telcos to
increase revenue and reduce costs by providing digital TV services to consumers over the telcos' existing network. DTV
Manager empowers telcos to offer a superior TV service, giving the consumer unprecedented convenience, choice and
control of their entertainment experience.

``We continue to deliver new features and functionality that enable telcos around the globe to offer unique, competitive
services,' said Marcel LeBrun, president and CEO of iMagicTV. ``With iMagicTV's software, telcos have the ability to
quickly and cost-effectively deploy new services, further strengthening their customer relationships and creating new
revenue possibilities.'

iMagicTV has developed DTV Manager 2.0 to give telcos a competitive advantage over cable and satellite TV offerings.
The software allows telcos to package multiple services together and offer consumers a complete suite of services over
their existing telephone lines. Offering a multiple service bundle creates an additional revenue stream for telcos to augment
their mature voice and data businesses.

``With the convergence of voice, video and data, the battle for the consumer has intensified,' said Bruce Leichtman,
director, Media & Entertainment Strategies, Yankee Group. ``Telcos find themselves in a position of playing catch up as
the cable and satellite companies begin to lure their customers away. iMagicTV's software makes it possible for telcos to
compete, increase revenue and keep their high-valued customers by offering a suite of multiple services.'

DTV Manager Offers More for Telcos and Consumers

With DTV Manager, telcos can give consumers more choice, convenience and control of their entertainment experience.

For example, consumers can:
-- customize their channel line up and subscribe for the channels
they want from a potentially unlimited number of channels
-- browse the Internet and check e-mail
-- watch pay-per-view movies instantly without having to make a phone call
to customer service
-- choose programs with point-and-click ease using an interactive program
guide
-- access interactive channels such as live Internet auctions
-- watch digital-quality Hollywood movies on demand
-- listen to digital music channels from Classical to Alternative Rock;
and
-- customize viewing permissions to restrict access to sensitive
programming.

DTV Manager helps telcos deploy and manage services more efficiently than its cable or satellite competitors.

For example, telcos can:
-- offer unlimited channels, combinations of channels and unique packages
to the consumer
-- add or remove channel packages without the need for a service call
-- remotely detect and diagnose customer and network problems and restart
consumer set-top boxes from the main office site eliminating the need
for service calls, saving the telco time and money
-- integrate new services into existing administrative and billing
systems; and
-- introduce new interactive services easily, including e-commerce, video-
on-demand, pay-per-view, Web-based email and more.

DTV Manager Deployments Hit Home

NBTel Inc. in New Brunswick, Canada, and Kingston Vision, a subsidiary of UK-based Kingston Communications (Hull)
plc have chosen iMagicTV's DTV Manager to deploy TV services.
Four yet to be announced telcos have plans to deploy
services using the software later this year.

``We chose iMagicTV because it helps us to provide a rich, all-digital TV and Internet service to our customers over our
existing infrastructure,' said Joe Mosher, director of TV Services with Aliant, NBTel's parent company. ``With DTV
Manager 2.0, we will be able to offer New Brunswickers a quality digital broadcast product, and more importantly, extend
access to our various interactive services to the television.'

Future Versions to Take Consumer Experience Further

Future versions of DTV Manager will continue to expand what telcos' can offer to enrich consumers' entertainment
experiences. Next year, iMagicTV will offer new features that make television programming timeless and immediately
accessible to consumers. For example, one service the company is working on is TimelessTV, in which television programs
are stored on the telephone company's network so consumers never miss their favorite shows. Consumers will be able to
watch shows that have already aired regardless of whether they aired the day before or an hour ago by scrolling backward
in time with a remote control on their interactive program guide.

``Features like TimelessTV will take the value proposition for consumers and telcos to the next level,' said LeBrun. ``Our
commitment is to continue to create a compelling business case for telcos and a more exciting entertainment experience for
the consumer all in software.'
