You might try some short term options if you have a strong conviction on what the next series of moves are for CS.

IMO, CS will continue its weak stance until real support is tested. Technicals are weak and favor a test of the base of the last rising channel (base=$10; top of channel=$20). We're nearly in the middle so it's a tough call at this juncture. But a healthy reversal of the last run would send CS back down to that $10 base. I know that's not what people want to hear, but without a buyout, that is exactly where CS is going.
If a buyout is the only thing that will bolster CS's price, then it would be in your best interest to have a stop-loss conducive to that plan. And basically in a takeover play, you cannot afford to enter and exit a position several times or you risk being out of the issue at the point of takeover. So trade without a stop-loss level?? Very risky IMO. But if you have the capital to burn then so be it.

You might want to entertain the idea of writing some covered calls against part of your position. This way you earn premium income in the short term. In the case of a buyout, you would have only given up some potential extra profit. If no buyout, then the option expires worthless and you walk away with premium income.

I have been watching this for a while and I can say that people are getting a bit nervous in this environment. But best of luck to everyone.

Mare, not sure if your post was to me or not - as for "quick trades", depends on your objective/desire - do you want a 1/8th gain or $3+ gain? For the $3+ gains, need relatively big news, or an ipo, and not a 500 million # or shares.

For today, USWB is one (but prob needed to be in it BEFORE the news, just like a CS).
