I guess your so caught up in this Boosting idea that you somehow have difficulty in knowing what is Boosting anymore. A friendly reminder that I wanted to clarify; your coments recently about "NO CONVERGENCE BETWEEN INTERNET AND TV". Come on, GoNad. I thought you were better than that; Actually you appear to be tense today,I mean, snapping at people; just relax, but allow me to refresh the topic that was at hand; remember its not directly about bids but does let you know why bids is aiming for the TV screens. Oh and by the way, these 2million sets....well there in ADDITION to the 6,500,000 already ordered. Convergence; why is such a household name buying all these set-top boxes. Next time you phrase something with the words "virtualy NO convergence between the Internet and TV" consider backing up your statements! Geez!!! Your slipping, and I'd hate to see your credibility on this board become damage to the point nobody respects you! <<ggg>> ------------------------------------------------------------------- In Tuesday's online edition, the paper said AT&T plans to buy up to 2 million more cable-television set-top boxes from General Instrument Corp. and one million cable modems from Motorola Inc., which recently said it planned to buy GI for about $11 billion in stock. <<<To: buffet (35423 ) <<<From: GoNorth Tuesday, Sep 21 1999 11:08AM ET <<<Reply # of 35584 <<<buffet, the fact is that currently there is virtually NO convergence between the TV and Internet world. It's one of those "way off in the distance" scenarios. Maybe this explains the yawn.
