PD, thanks, just bought ITXC 19 1/8, Lehman led IPO (they did ATON) too. 6.5M float, offering pirce 17.
ITXC is bridging the gap between your telephone and the
Internet. The company's network, ITXC.net, can route phone
calls over the Internet more cheaply than over traditional
phone networks; calls are completed on affiliated carriers'
networks. WWeXchange service allows carriers, ISPs, and
others to offer international telephone service, and
on-premises equipment, SNARCs, give customers direct
access to ITXC's network. ITXC has affiliates, including Bell
Atlantic, China Telecom, and Korea Telecom, in some 75
cities worldwide. ITXC (for Internet Telephony Exchange
Carrier) was founded in 1997 by AT&T and Microsoft
alumnus Tom Evslin, who owns about 25% of the firm.
VocalTec owns 19%, and Intel owns about 12%.
