Dell Says PC Demand Is Healthy
By Mark Boslet

SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones)--Demand in the personal computer market is healthy and should remain so during the second half of the year, Dell Computer Corp. (DELL) Chief Financial Officer Tom Meredith said.

The pricing environment meanwhile is "rational," Meredith said, referring to the pressures over the past year or so for lower computer prices.

Speaking at the Bank of America Securities investment conference, Meredith said demand for computers in China is "torrid."

He also said last quarter Dell sold 40% of its computers to customers who placed orders on the Internet.

Yesterday, Dell announced that it agreed to have International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) provide installation and repair services to Dell customers.

OT OT OT

Good that you won in Las Vegas. So invest that to get more Dell. Of course you like Paris. That big chandellier that you see as you walk in, it was paid by me. That crap table lined with soft velvet, I paid that ... LOL

Paris is a good hotel, just that you cannot walk in the casino, the machines are too close together and there is no strips for going from one area to another. Still like that Las Vegas Hilton better.

No way anybody can gain wiegt in LV. The food is all low cal ... heh heh heh

Best regards

Paul
