Very interesting article. It doesn't take much reading between the lines to see CDMA is becoming the driver of growth in wireless. I especially like this part:

''The picture in China has changed since six months ago,' Dahlin said, adding that the Chinese were not spending on mobile infrastructure as Ericsson had expected earlier this year.

''There won't be much growth in China this year,' he said.

He said internal changes in China were affecting growth. But he said sales could be better next year as investments return.


It seems Ericy was hoping to keep their TDMA based franchises strong by pulling the wool over the Chinese's eyes but they didn't buy it. Now they have to try to provide them with CDMA equipment. At least that's how I read it in conjunction with other recent news.
