One of the toughest plays is to stay short in
a bear market given all the backing-and-filling.
I also have a few reminders of Oct'87 around.<ng>

As for a short squeeze today, I think rallies
will be met with additional sales just as in
the last week. All the good news is out and even
a 1 pt. rally in bonds last week couldn't help
stocks. Now you've got the currencies, gold,
the technicals and seasonal profit-taking to
potentially deal with as a bull. Sometimes the
wall of worry is too steep to climb. BIDKJS.

Ice, i sold my puts and bought calls on Oct.16 1987. i was able to afford the loss on the calls but i was very pissed that i had sold the puts when the Dow was -250 in the first 1/2 hour of trading on the 19th. well, the market DID look oversold on the 16th right? -ggg-
