Depends on how the contract was structured, & don't forget the following: 1)In exchange for dropping the guaranteed contract, CS will receive a multimillion-dollar investment in its Spectrum network management software unit from CPQ. 2)CPQ's professional services unit will continue to sell Cabletron's networking equipment, this time as a "preferred partner" & for the first time, CPQ will begin selling their Spectrum units software. 3)Cabletron made $50 million to $60 million this past quarter through the resale agreement with CPQ, and expects to do so again in the next two quarters.
