Reiser seems to be following up on his CC to the letter. Some of the Yahoovians seem to think that this MAY be the signal for an AxCell spin-off; Joe reiterated his statement about the PCa "core".

Somebody seems to like the idea, because it's beating a nasty-looking market. I sure do; picked up some more just before the news({>D

Axcell competition in the protein research area

MDS Inc. To Launch New Proteomics Business
TORONTO -- MDS Inc. (MHG.A) said it is launching MDS Proteomics, a new business focused on the science of proteomics, or the large-scale study of proteins and how proteins interact in healthy and diseased cells.
In a news release, the company said proteomics aids the discovery of new indicators that can be used to diagnose and treat disease. The new company will research new, more effective medicines with reduced side effects.
MDS Inc. said it has several proteomics business initiatives underway, including a research collaboration with the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, focused on protein-protein interactions for drug discovery and development, and a joint venture with MDS Protana A.S. of Denmark, which provides proteomics information to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
In a separate release, MDS Inc. said it began trading Thursday under new symbols on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Its Class A common shares will now trade under the symbol "MDS.A," and its Class B non-voting shares will trade under the symbol "MDS.B."
MDS Inc. is a health and life sciences company.
