Bobby, all things considered, gold could easily become the next mania. i'd expect some consolidation when the flag's upper trend line is reached, but ultimately it should be breached and gold move higher from there. it seems inflationary pressures in the system due to the enormous growth in money supply in recent years are ignored by most analysts...nevertheless, they exist. and such trends tend to have a lot of inertia. even if the secular deflationary trends eventually take over, gold should do well as paper assets are shunned in favor of hard assets.
