VPN win for Novell

biz.yahoo.com

I'm not sure they have had any major enterprise come out and say it will establish a virtual private network for the internet using Novell Bordermanager for all of its offices.

"Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation is deploying the Novell© BorderManager(TM) Enterprise Edition
suite in a Virtual Private Network (VPN) that securely links 34 offices worldwide over the Internet, including the Los Angeles headquarters and offices as widely located as London, Mexico City and Tokyo.
Twentieth Century Fox estimates savings of more than $600,000 per year from the VPN, which enables Fox employees to exchange Novell's GroupWise© e-mail and share other data files over the Internet,
thereby avoiding the substantially higher costs of leased digital lines or dial-up services."

Stock is spiking up again!!!

Paul, there's a rumor from CNBC that AOL is possibly looking to buy a co. NOVL was mentioned as one of them along w/ ATHM. It's a hot topic on the AOL SI room.
