jc, agreed. however, my will not last is 5 months at the latest. most folks think this will last for a couple years.

supply is up less than demand. i think folks are building inventories of dram as y2k insurance (imagine korea electric going out for a month). that explains increase demand. weak pc sales doesn't. increased mb usage also explains some, but that demand will go away sooner rather than later.

is supply really down that much? don't know. mu just about gave away 8 weeks of inventory just 2-3 months ago. that took lots of supply off the market. the earthquake took some more. any games w/ inventory? maybe.

we'll know if this has legs by march.

i think dell has BIG problems. a minimum $50 worth of profit is now gone from each box they sell. i'd bet that is 50% or more of their profit! sell 100% more boxes just for flat eps. disaster!
