Hi Richard Harmon; I'm thinking that there is going to be a certain amount of "painting the tape" at the close of the quarter. I expect the mutual funds that buy gold stocks to run them up on the last half hour of Sep 30. This means that the managers get bigger bonuses, the fund looks better to investors, plus some guys buy stuff that is up just before the close of the quarter, in order to look good. All in all, I think these guys are going to run the price up so as to line their pockets a little better.

Surprisingly, a lot of gold stocks closed down today, while gold zipped. By comparision, BMG did fine.

Think you are right. BMG had a pretty strong day today. I traded some on the initial run up but am holding what is left for the long run.

"The market still looks very good. It's a bull market," said Leonard Kaplan, chief bullion dealer with LFG Bullion Services.
Kaplan said the market is beginning its "second leg up" that should bring a test of resistance at $329-330 for the Dec contract. The Dec contract today hit a high of $319.0.

Got the above off the kitco site.....looking good!
