Rich: this is my take on the days events...others can add what they know.

1. No meaningful press releases. Blurbs indicate that it is the third slot which is the source of the problem. No formal declaration of identificationof problem, solution plan or correction date or new shipment of Camino. But, no more bad news, such as further delays, more problems, etc.

2. Totally unsubstantiated rumores that problem may be fixable in a "few days", "few weeks", "before year end", (pick one)

2. There is also speculation that Coppermine will not need the third slot, therefore may avoid this problem in toto. As a result, Coppermine release rumored to be on track. Sound of breath being exhaled across Silicon Valley.

3. Glenda indicated she is buying again. Relief rally began <g> Unclewest followed shortly thereafter, or vice versa.

4. No indications, hints, that Intel/Dell are shying away from getting this problem solved and moving forward on Rambus solutions to future needs. If anything, support quietly restated (I suspect from the stock price today, the support may have been more than quietly stated to some analysts and MMs.)

5. if Intel support remains, then it is just another delay...frustrating and irritating, but it does not change the long term story. Therefore, some who exited in the seventies bought back in (my guess only)
