I've been picking up news reports cautioning that the rapid rise in oil prices might actually stifle demand - sorry guys, oil has an inelastic demand curve. Asian demand for oil fell last year not because of high prices but because Asia was on its back.

Thanks to the thread for EEE, BELW, and RRC. Already closed out the first two profitably and I apologize for such a short fling, but these are turbulent times. Am now looking forward to my $50 dividend from RRC.

Rig Dog, I woke up a few weeks ago and bought you know what at $35/share. I assume it got caught in the downdraft of the market at large - it's great to be diversified, ain't it?

Still like my HMAR(Q) even though I may well have bought some of the $1 shares Eric was selling. As major stockholders, themselves, I feel the Hvide family will look after the shareholders' interest.

Obviously, Wall Street isn't impressed with the oilers earnings prospects for 3rd quarter or they wouldn't be taking such a beating.

Hang tough oil investors - we all know the extra 3/4 of billion dollars/day is going somewhere - in time, it will show up.
