Apparently the Rumour in NY in that a big player was
trying to close a 40 billion dollar short position .
Wow , talk about a margin call <ggggg>.

given the streamlining the Gold co.'s have done over the past 2 yrs...I disagree, and it might be a mute point as we may never know unless gold flatlines for a month!!!
My take on the matter is that most think this ralley is not going to sustain itself and to buy over certain levels caused the market sentiment change and the shorts took over....I presently hold no gold stocks and sold all before the close!!!
Given the low cost/once that most of the majors are now working on, I feel that we still have more room to move...

Havin' said that I also think that $300+ is here to stay...

I agree also but I think we will not see it until after $350+ and we will fall back to 325....Gold will happen for 4 -6 more weeks!!!
