The airline industry is one of the most complex and difficult to manage. It requires experienced and competent management to properly run an airline. AMR has now stated publicly that it would not be managing the airline and Onex has no expertise in managing the affairs of an airline.

If this deal goes ahead, it will be bad news for the Canadian airline industry, its employees and the travelling public.
