Trindy, i find Acampora a likeable guy, but every single call he made since the bottom last october has been wrong and extraordinarily ill-timed. since i am short i got a bit angry when he had to come out and say this. the market immediately took it as a sign that it was time to turn around. however, i agree that for once he may turn out to be right. i'm not just saying this because it jibes with my positioning, but because i can see for myself what worries him as a technical analyst. since an ST cycle turning point was scheduled for today, i would not be surprised if this bounce continued for a little while. however, the last cycle hasn't performed as it should have and i have a suspicion that a higher degree cycle may have taken over at this point and is likely pointing down. so i will use bounces to add puts most likely, unless i see clear signs that the correction was really just that - a correction. hb
