The IBF(I do think those initials are more fitting :-) ) ,and all parties concerned must have had their own special interests..
sounds like you may have discovered the Swiss special interest..
ps why were they so nice to the British :-)
or do they fear the whole world might fall into a depression if US economy starts slowing down?
again I think speculating on the reasons why will give us a huge hint as to future direction of gold and the markets :-)
they gave us a big clue..
but on other hand..a wise friend of mine is always telling me I give
people too much credit..their interests are usually a lot simpler..
ie as you implied with the Swiss...they just want more value from their held assets
