Took an initial stock position position in AOL at $82 when it was hammered in early August. Plan to pick up more shares if the markets get spooked in Oct or Nov. I have traded the options for a long time.

I wonder why AOL would buy ATHm and get into the business of pipes. They just want the pipes. Now if they would want to get Excite out of the way, yes then that sounds something they would do. But if someone believes that AOL may buy ATHM, could that someone explain the rationale for that thinking.

And Novell???? I thought Sun was eyeing them for Java enable technologies in networking, as this is more in line with their business model that AOL's.
