Andeveron, i realize that Acampora is no idiot...he does base his calls on solid evidence. however, during all of '99 his calls were issued when trends were just about to turn the other way. we will see if he found back to his old form.

Perhaps J6P will heed his advice and exit the mutual funds in droves.

To J6P, today was just another day. "30 Industrials, down 28 points", is what the "Money News" blurb says on the radio. That's it. Oh sure, lots of J6Ps will see a daily chart on the tube tonight, if they happen to be watching the news. For most, today was just another day. For others, it's a simple "whew, what roller coaster, but we ended up only down 28 points. Great comeback!"

BTD lives on.

The Ballmer Thursday caused only very minor, if any concern among the J6P invested people. The continual reward of BTD, plus the ~25% return on the S&P500 Index funds has caused complacency and expectations to reach incredible levels.

As Heinz opined, the fundamentals will eventually wrest control of the market from the masses, but the time is not yet (as today showed).
