>Kate Winslet, who was also in the New Zealand film "Heavenly Creatures", and the Helen Thompson "Sense and Sensibility"....<

Well of course! I saw her in "Sense and Sensibility" and she did not a thing for me there. Very interesting.

>[Thelma and Louise] was abominable because it was hysterical, that is, overwrought....<

Overwrought. Well now yes. There it is.

>Funniest "stupid movie".....hmmmm....This is off the top of my head, but perhaps "The Mask"....<

Then I will check it out.

>"The Apostle" is splendid, especially if one has an appreciation of great acting. Robert Duvall wrote, directed, and stars in it. Miranda Richardson is amazing..... <

I saw Duvall in a Travolta film awhile ago. That guy is always good. I will view "The Apostle" tomorrow if I can.

(gotta split)

Neo,

Agree with you on funniest "stupid" movie. I have a copy of "The Mask" and watch it whenever I just want to laugh at goofy one liners and hilarious visualFX....
