quick followup comment acknowledging that post-game quarterbacking is always easier, i still think today's debacle was unnecessary and i am more than a little disappointed in how this was handled. and fwiw, this is not an uncommon sentiment, especially regarding the meta-issues it has rekindled.

SG - You are frank and I think we are all the better for having your views undiluted and straight from the hip. As the smoke of today clears your last two posts were the the most doom laden posts that I have seen on WCII for a long time. Looks to me like the stock has had it and all talk by BR about what might happen if the WCOM/FON deal goes ahead isn't going to do much this time to hold up the stock price. This "guidance" is the worst news that WCII has ever announced. I'm pleased they did it up front as it were but it was just a little unexpected as I took it that when they announced huge new LMDS equipment orders only a few days ago that this might pressasge some business or traffic that might be carried over all this new fancy equipment. Now to have it announced that instead we have what amounts to an ernings warning or pre-announcment about NEXT YEARS numbers to be followed by a whole series of analyst re-assesments tomorrow is reallyreally dissapointing. Sorry about the moan I know you don't like moans but after what is now a couple of years I hope you won't mind too much. Best regards, L
