RUSSIA'S NORILSK SAYS WILL NOT RESUME PLATINUM EXPORTS UNTIL DEC
Moscow--Oct 5--Norilsk Nickel, Russia's largest producer of platinum group
metals (PGMs), does not expect to resume platinum or rhodium exports before
December, when an amendment is expected to be made to the law regulating
platinum exports. The company's First Deputy General Director Yury Kotlyar said
today that Norilsk had halted exports after the law was adopted in January, a
decision that had cost it an estima ted US $300 million in
