ole 49r,
Another partial retrace and then back up, 315 area, so far so good.

I appreciate the education, comspike 101 and all ggg. It does surprise me a bit to see its verification shown clearly in the
news, as follows. I am not used to this kind of transparency in the gold markets lately, shouldn't they be lying, spinning, prevaricating about it (VBG)?:

Compared to the frenetic pace gold has traded in Europe and the U.S. since Monday, activity in Asia was subdued on Wednesday.

Market observers said the fact that gold encountered few of the sell-into-any-rally corps of speculators that typically emerge when prices rally sharply indicated a
strong faith among investors that prices had further to go on the upside.

Dealers said they expected gold to return to at least Tuesday's closing levels in the more volume-driven European markets.

''If the gold price can stay above $305 (an ounce), we're looking at a chart target of $340,'' said Keith Goode, gold analyst for Bell Securities Ltd.

BULLION BEARS STAY AWAY

Bullion dealers were quick to caution any would-be bears that gold's retreat from Tuesday's dramatic price spike to a high of $327.40 had more to do with a
massive short position finally being met than run-of-the-mill profit-takers.

''We are seeing a little profit-taking, but the market is taking a breath. People want to take stock of what has happened,'' said a dealer in Hong Kong.

Italics mine, excerpted for brevity.

BTW: Sincerity: to a fault
Greenhorn vs Pro: Certainly not a Pro, I am not on the floor Not a greenhorn either, too much time in the ring the last few bear years and too many good beatings...I have survived intact and ahead but no bragging rights yet!
Bottom line, I am learning, I have my moments and its a LONG swim up the river. I am thankful for any fishladders of
market savvy wiser, more experienced players point out.

My posting will be limited for a bit, I seem to have come down with some sort of bug (ironic!)

Thanks for the reply,

Roebear

PS: Hmmmm!
