"I'm just convinced that 95% of all public schools are full of these types or social misfits." - Perhaps you did not intend it as such, but I find this remark highly offensive. What exactly are social misfits. Our schools are full of people who seek to be individuals. They do such things as dye their hair unnatural colors, pierce things, and a few have tatoos. Why is any of this offensive? I ask you, where have all the flower children gone? Our generation is largely a recreation of the 60's individual culture. Perhaps one day we'll all trade stocks and scream about the taxes that are enslaving us, but for now all we want is to be unique. In my opinion, to put us in uniforms like some private schools do would be a travesty of education. Public schools are a part of the "real world." Not everything is perfect, but we all strive to make it that way.
