Yousef,

I found this at JC's site ( jc-news.com ) in his 'News' page (99/09/28, 6:10pm):
————————————————————————————————————
"Keep your eyes peeled. I can't confirm this 100% but according to a friendly email I recieved, IBM will be making mention of (releasing?) their Aptiva 2174-870 model on September 30th. Yeah, sure, I know you're unimpressed so far. But I haven't yet told you the juicy part: According to he, the system is identical to the currently existing 2174-865 model except for that it uses a 700MHz Athlon instead of a 650MHz Athlon. Ah, I see I got your attention. Anyway, we'll see if this turns out true -- currently the reigning rumour for the K7-700 is the fourth day of October, so the 30th could be the date where it starts moving and the 4th the public announcement. I dunno, and I'm making this hidden block too big, y'all are probably getting suspicious, at least the ones that haven't found me out yet. See, I'm making this text quasi-invisible just cuz I wanna see how many people can wise up to it. ;) ."

Goutama
