Just keep trading . . . as long as the volatility is there . . . it's daytrader heaven . . . especially for those of us who know how to trade junior gold stocks during a gold run. Remember up or down you can make money by going long or going short. As long as the volatility is there and you have a clue there's lots of money to be made from now till the end of the year at least.

You are right - no one knows. But if I had to guess, and I do - I would guess that gold got a better start than silver because of the institutional nature of the metal and the excessive short covering. I expect that when silver breaks through 6.00 all the computers in the world will be set to buy and it should move quickly to 7.00. In 1987 that is exactly what happened. In fact the circumstances were almost the same for silver. It had struggled for a long time in the 5 dollar range and then wham through 6 and on to seven; and the silver stocks are still laggard.
