just sell it if you think it is going down. not even sure if tax code accepts shorting against the box at the current time.

For a guy who runs an international business (?), you are sadly lacking in basic knowledge.

Currently shorting the box is not accepted as a method for postponing paying capital gains. When one shorts, the box, it is now considered to be a constructive tax sale, and one pay taxes on the stock originally purchased as if were sold on the date of the short sale. Thus, the only reason for shorting the box would be to avoid the downtick rule in shorting a stock--which by the way makes it an excellent tool with which to trade.
