Bill, I think the gas-to-liquids conversion technology is on the horizon, but not here yet. In reading recent articles I remember that a pioneer said that they were working on an additional 30% cost reduction for the technology in the near future.

The methane hydrates article was interesting. I noticed they didn't discuss how much hydrate they had to collect to make it worthwhile, or how they were going to do it. Gas to liquids looks to be much more "near term" as ME countries flare off vast amounts of NG from their wells.
