No need to apologize, Rupert. Enjoying the posts. Acknowledging the competition is seen as fashionable, if not wise for various reasons, nowadays. It demonstrates openness and 'clue' by those who would otherwise be suspect of being anal. In this case, in the final analysis, it might only be for effect. One could stretch a bit and even view this as a form of woo-ing for some obvious or mysterious reason. This point that you've raised also struck me when I read the release, as did the fact that they are eschewing a primarily desktop- [or enterprise server-] based environment in favor of one which is cloud-based via an internet-like network server.
