You know, your description of living with this for so long, and Croc's point about the pain wearing you down, makes me think of depression- that same feeling of futility. So that the effort of really pursuing help is almost as overwhelming as living with the problem. Your pain has become a defining part of yourself- and changing anything- bad or good- is scary. Once you know Thursday that all is well with the insurance, though, I hope you'll immediately begin a followthrough on this. We can nag at you if you want. I'm REALLY good at this after years of practice. And get second opinions.
