So the 7 central bankers, most of whom have already dumped all the gold they wanted to, have declared they won't dump as much during the next 5 years. There are many other Central bankers who can fill this little void, and probably will.

Same for the loaning of reserves to the short sellers. Others would just love this source of revenue from an asset that sits around earning absolutely nothing, depreciating in value.

I suspect that we're seeing a temporary hiccup. I have no idea how long temporary will actually turn out to be.
