A question for the more experienced traders out there. On a number of the stock tracking websites, you are able to plot a basic high/low graph of any given equity. In addition to the basic graph of price, they provide you with an option to plot the stock's moving average. Obviously, these averages can vary from 5 days to 1 year and beyond. My question is this: what purpose does the moving average serve when analyzing a stock? Does this indicate anything beyond the fact that a stock is exceeding/lagging it's average growth/decline over the specified period? Can the moving average be used in any other way? MW

Calico, Kaliico? <G> I have always had a soft spot for SPGLA. . .PRFM has been a real disappointment on the PF IPO. . .I sold mine last week. . LIOX is one to never turn back on. . . Any idea what happened to MKTY's Plug Power? It was on all the IPO lists, but has been taken off. . .I guess they just aren't ready yet. . .they said October. . . seems strange to remove it though. That's the one I am awaiting. Rande Is
