He didn't protest while our guys were dying--he didn't have to--he had the influence to get a cushy stateside job. I'll be very honest here--I probably would have done exactly the same thing for myself or my sons. Would I be honorable in doing so? Absolutely not!

What I would do, or what you would do, is not the issue as you and I are not seeking a job in which we hold the lives of millions of soldiers in our hands. There's a different standard for such an office, and if that's "bull", then I do not see how anyone could be expected to respect or listen to these types of "leaders."

Any father would have done it? Not John McCain, Sr. He sent his son to fight (and almost die) in Vietnam. You think McCain's father, Admiral McCain didn't have the clout the get his son into a behind-the-scenes Navy job??? He didn't do it. Who's the better man?
