Oh please!! Are you suggesting Onex can control the weather.
And what do you think Onex would do when the pilots say pay us more or we walk ........ HMMMMMmmmm I Know I know lets give in to the pilots demands and pay them way more than we can afford!!! that way we can keep flying.... into the ground like........... oh I don,t know....maybe........CANADIAN!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Dude there is nothing wrong with AC MGMT. Unlike Canadian, AC Mgmt has the balls to do what needs to be done when it needs to be done. Also there is nothing wrong with the Canadian air industry. We do have a problem with the western carrier, Canadian. It has been so poorly managed that it is going bankrupt..... did you forget that??? are you subscribing to the foolish propaganda spewing from Onex because they pay you? or because you havn't done your due dilligence. This is a political merger NOT a business merger and the principals involved are trying to save thier bacon and will sacrifice you to do it.
Don't say I didn't warn ya.

Off topic: Alomex I remember your name from the Corel posts.Very interesting opinions.Hope you didn't sell yet.Now to get back to Air Canada position. What ever Onex offers it would not be enough for share owners to agree to a "friendly merger".Canadian Airlines have a very substantial debt ,if Air Canada would absorb such debt it would eliminate any gains they have made.Public opinion would suggest two airlines fearing ticket prices rising and monopoly situations. You have to feel sorry for Air Canada employees who's future is up in the air ,I should know because my girl friend works for them and believe me she works very hard for little above mininum wage.
