zShop is a cute idea, but won't it be hard to get recognition there? I mean, how is a Shop going to bring people to their site? If I want a cigar, do I type "Cigar" and locate the Smokepot? Well maybe Amazon's golden brand name will rub off and amazon will become a search engine for other web sites. But would I pay $120 per year to be listed with amzn's search engines? Maybe I'd try it out for the first year.

I estimate the revenue from zshops to be <$1M per year.

>>>For those goods it doesn't sell, the retailer recently introduced a
product-search feature that lets customers find items on the Web, even if
Amazon.com or zShop sellers don't carry them. There's no fee for customers
or merchants for that service, the company said.>>>
