DJ Vodafone Bonus Issue -2: Record Date Sept. 30 NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Vodafone Group PLC's (VOD) board approved a 4-for-1 bonus issue, which gives four shares for every one owned to shareholders of record as of Sept. 30. In a press release Wednesday, the British mobile phone company said it has applied for a total of 26.3 million new ordinary shares of 10 cents each to be admitted to the official list. Vodafone expects permission to admit the new shares to be granted on Sept. 29. The new shares will begin trading Oct. 1. The company's NYSE-listed American depositary shares recently traded at 233 1/4, up 6 1/4 or 2.8%, on composite volume of 555,700 shares.
