Susan, Nets can ultimategto.com ! Hyars the original '68 Pontiac promo ultimategto.com (same color & year, except mine was a LeMans with the black vinyl roof trim). Brings back memories, this promo & ads said "Sold American" 2 me! Everyone my age wanted this car; i had to have it! Almost 18, had a job & savings. After my 57 Chevy LaBamba blew its rings....the LeMans cost way less than 4G brand new with a 3-year payment plan. Right now a cherry Tempest, LeMans, or even a GTO can be bought for under 10G's, or so the ads say. (Hey Jed the answer to your'n Question is - Nyep ! ;D Mom, Of Course your Son would want a '68 GTO! BUT - i realize now how my parents must have been going nuts when their first daughter bought this car, need I say more? & It went fast, i mean screaming off the line Fast. I had a good LeMans (built on Wednesday mebbe) w/ automatic it beat some (Monday-builts mebbe) stick-transmission GTO's. Many are still around, though many were ruined by tinkering too much under the hood as i recall. Way too much fun. They don't make 'em like this anymore. Been thinkin' about this car lately, mite get one for a toy treat maybe if one crosses my path as thing$ go right with my stocks. I love my Taurus wagon but sometimes it's a bit.. U know... pedestrian. The LeMans drove like a feather, held the road like a magnet, looked way cool on the (black rolled vinyl bucket seat automatic on the floor killer stereo) inside....heard MotorTrend voted it the Best Engineered Classic Car of All Time. Owning this favorite car would make me feel so young again, behind the wheel! Turning half a century in Dec. wanting No black balloons 4 me! 909s Vrrroooooom Vrrrrroooooom, Joanie
