The shortage is critical. Everyone wants the FPD because the graphics are better. They are brighter. Also, people like the stylish looks and the FPD does not take up as much space. I forget where I read about the limited supply of FPD but AMAT's investment will hopefully boost their profits. The demand is so great that the makers of FPDs do not have to cut their prices. PC companies absorb the cost because some of their other component prices are cheaper. I am thrilled AMAT has made an investment in this area. Again, we see that AMAT's management is excellent.
