NEW YORK, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Dell Computer Corp. <DELL.O>,
the world's No. 2 personal computer maker, said on Wednesday
that brokerage firm Edward Jones agreed to use Dell computers
as its global standard in a deal worth an estimated $40
million.
Executives at the Round Rock, Texas-based computer maker
have said they have been in a streak of big corporate sales
wins, taking market share from Compaq Computer Corp.<CPQ.N>,
the No. 1 PC maker.
"Our win rates for large corporate customers is better than
60 percent," said spokesman Dwane Cox. "We continue to have
momentum in this space."
